Grapes, one of the fruits of jannah (paradise), with sapphires sent within the hand carved design, to represent the juicy berries. Grapes have long represented wine, a drink which is intoxicating and addictive, a drink which is prohibited in this life yet is not only permitted but overflowing in paradise,
"The description of the Paradise promised to the righteous is that in it are rivers of fresh water, rivers of milk that never changes in taste, rivers of wine delicious to drink, and rivers of pure honey. There they will ˹also˺ have all kinds of fruit, and forgiveness from their Lord."
